Remembrance Day is a day for all Canadians to remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. It is a day we encourage every individual, young and old, to pause, to give thanks and to remember.

Here are the main Remembrance Day events in Halton and Peel:

Mississauga

Parade Time: 9:30 a.m.
Start Location: Port Credit Branch 82
Church Service:Trinity-St. Paul, Port Credit, 26 Stavebank Road
Ceremony Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Cenotaph at Vimy Park, 29 Stavebank Road
Reception: Port Credit Branch 82

Royal Canadian Legion - Streetsville Branch 139
101 Church Street, Mississauga, ON

Parade to Cenotaph: 10:30 a.m.
Start Location: Streetsville Legion
Ceremony Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Streetsville Cenotaph/Streetsville Village Square

MILTON

Public Remembrance Day services are being held at two locations:

Evergreen Cemetery

Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.

OAKVILLE

George’s Square ceremony

Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.

Veterans parade route to be determined. Hosted by Oakville Legion Branch 114.

Trafalgar Memorial

Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.

Time: 10:30am - 12:00pm
Location: Start at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120 (127 Mill Street)

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Route: Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120 (127 Mill Street), left on Mill Street to Charles Street, right on Charles Street to James Street, right on James Street to Remembrance Park (29 James Street).

ACTON

Time: 10:00am - 11:00am
Location: Starts at the Hide House, ends at the Cenotaph

The parade starts at the Hide House and marches to the cenotaph for 11 AM.

Meet at the Hide House for 10:15 AM.
